Can i resume steam download

A patch could have even been the reason the download broke in the first place but that's hardly an excuse or a vote of confidence for their fragile content system. I am on it for that solution! But haven't Tried it! And Also I could not understand clearly on what the above procedure says..! Can anyone explain in detail in steps to be done please? Thanks Shivam! Tried that one! But now started to download from the beginning! Hope It won't start from the first! Well actually I have a doubt! So , Doing the same procedure , will make it download again from the beginning?

Coz, when steam pre allocates the files and starts to begin the download, it actually tries to redownload the files but not from the position where it was stopped earlier. It won't help I think sO!!! It might looks like it starts from beginning, but its not. Remember, Create the folder with exact name in common folder if not already created, Google it. While re-installing, it'll say "discovering existing files".

Turn off auto-updating in Steam and then download. Fixed the problem for me. I suppose you are DLing something which is gettng a lot of updates? Yeah I done that so! But still in vain!

Instead of just pausing the download, i pressed the x on the right side of the download after i paused it, then turned my pc off, then it just continued the download the day after. Download a small chunk and test it for yourself. I was downloading csgo and searched about this and found your comment after 1gb i paused the download and closed steam then after 5 mins i opened it again and resumed the dowload it worked.
