Main Quest. If you don't want to kill her I have no idea. As long as you're not doing a no-kill game then it's fine - Slackjaw can die early on. Sign up to join this community. Private Pansy Add a comment. I got the key from a woman being harassed by city watch in an alley if I remember right. He gave me the key to an easier access to the Golden Cat, but Slackjaw never said anything about the art dealer's key in my case.

I got it from the lady I saved from the 2 city watch assailants, as a reward. I took the non-lethal option for the Pendletons by the way. But I still don't know where the art dealer's home is, or maybe I already ransacked it without knowing Flarebear View Profile View Posts. I just had this happen to me.

I got Crowley's Last Message and instead of turning in the side-quest, I went ahead and got the safe combination from the art dealer. I went back to Slackjaw, who thanked me for getting the message and told me he would give me the key. He then went into the conversation asking me to recover the safe combination, which I already had.

Immediately he thanked me for recovering the safe combination and performed the non-lethal option for taking out the Pendletons. I went back to the Captain's Chair, and lo and behold, I don't have the key. Apparently turning in both quests at once ensures that he never gives it to the player. Oddly enough, reloading a save file just before turning in the quests renders me unable to even speak with Slackjaw. It turns out that when I turned in the Crowley quest, it put the punch card in the audio player.

When I reload my game to any previous save file, the punch card is still in the audio player, preventing me from turning in the quest in any other save files.

Technically, if you proceeded to the Golden Cat and get the combination after getting Crowley's punch card, you declare the key useless, thus no more reason for Slackjaw to give the key.

LIke what he said, it's for quick access to the Golden Cat, and since you went there your way and made it back, you imply that you know better than using the Captain's Chair. I've just experienced this myself.

Got the combination for the safe first, then took the mission with Crowley's audiograph message. Once down, grab the bone charm off the table. At the end of the street in the Distillery District, there is a lower alley way where Weepers converge.

In that alley, there is a door way which will take you down a corridor where Granny Rags will be wandering about. On the table to the right of the barricade and boarded up entrance will be another bone charm. To the left of the entrance to the Distillery, there is a barred room that you need to use the Distillery key to open. Grab the key from the table to the right of the entrance to the Distillery and open the door.

Once open, the bone charm will be directly in front of you, on the couch there.
